PGMC Lapidary & Jewelry Workshop

The Prescott Gem & Mineral Club has a well-equipped workshop for use by members only. Unfortunately, our liability insurance requires we allow only members access to the equipment. Join the Club and make use of this major benefit.

Members must sign a liability waiver and complete a short certification course provided by the workshop forepersons before being allowed to use the equipment.

There is a charge of $3 per hour for use of the equipment. This is a major bargain!!

The workshop is currently focused on the creation of cabochons, but the PGMC has obtained faceting equipment and silver/gold-smithing equipment.  PGMC has a beading instructor and we are on the lookout for more instructors.  Might that be you?

Workshop forepersons are available during all open hours to train attendees on the use of the equipment. The forepersons often boast that they can train you to complete your first cabochon project on your first day. Come see if this is just hyperbole or if they can really do it!! (Bet on the forepersons.)

Open hours:  Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.; Wednesday from 1:00pm to 7:00pm

Thursday is for metalsmithing only.  Hours will be set by the instructor.

If Members want to work on Sunday, the shop will be open by appointment only.

Please give Steve 24-hour notice to make a foreman available.

Thank you,

Steve Fox, Workshop Manager

Address of the workshop:   8534 E. Laredo Dr, Unit C, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314
